    Well finally repaired my sega cd . What I ended up doing was soldering a wire from a fuse leg to the 9volt input on the 7805 voltage regulator. Worked like a charm. Everything works as it's supposed to.

    This might help Model 2 as far as the wire, I would just use that to see if it is the fuse, if you don't have a meter(best way). The fuse protects the SCD. You can permanently damage the SCD.

    I have a segacd model 1 that doesn't power on, I have the correct power adapter, also wiggled the genesis,cleaned the contact points on both gen and segacd(nothing). Opened it up checked fuse F1 and diode (ok), checked the LM7805 power regulator IC (no power), so that tells me that the problem...

    FZ-1 pot settings?

    I'll answer my own question. Here's some info that might help someone. I have an FZ-1 that wouldn't play most backups, and when it did the FMV was skipping or the audio tracks from the cd would loop or skip also. I adjusted the laser potentiometer clock-wise from its default setting to 600 ohms...

    Would anyone happen to know the pot settings for anf FZ-1 laser? Also if anyone knows of any schematics for a Goldstar 3DO. Thanks for any help.
